Public notice – Presentation of financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2019
Exhibition Period: from 13 November 2019 to 13 December 2019
Under Section 38B of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given that Upper Hunter Shire Council
Scone Race Club (SRC) has written to Upper Hunter Shire Council requesting a temporary drop in charges for water for track and ground irrigation, to the same rate as water used on Council parks, gardens, cemeteries and pools (96c per kL), until June 2020. As the SRC is classified as ‘commercial’ a $2.35 per kL charge is normally applicable.
Council has developed a Community Participation Plan in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. The Plan is designed to make participation in planning matters clearer for the Upper Hunter Shire community. It does this by setting out in one place, how and when you can participate in the planning system, Council’s functions and the different types of proposals.
Every year the Upper Hunter Shire community is invited to have a say on holiday arrangements for the Scone Cup by completing a short online survey or making a written submission.
Upper Hunter Shire Council is a local government authority and provides an extensive array of services including health and building; town planning; aged care; sporting and recreational facilities; roads; libraries; waste collection; airport facilities; saleyards; public venues; water; children, youth and families and tourist information.
Upper Hunter Shire is located in the Hunter Region of NSW, approximately 250km north of Sydney. The Shire is predominantly rural and encompasses 8,100km2.
