The Community Strategic Plan is the highest level plan that a Council will prepare and its purpose is to identify the Community’s main priorities. It is a shared vision of what the Upper Hunter Shire Community values and aspires to for the next 10 years, and will provide a framework for Council's activities and programs over the next four years.
The engagement of the Community is critical to help frame the conversation and to identify what issues need to be explored.
Council conducted Community Research in 2015 and 2013, prepared by Micromex Research as part of the Community Engagement for the CSP 2027. There is now lots of work going on behind the scenes to ensure that there are many more different opportunities for you to have your say.
Tell us what you want for the Upper Hunter Shire.
What do you think the priorities for the Upper Hunter Shire should be?
We're conducting a number of 'pop up' consultations at local community events, and we'd love to hear your views face-to-face.
Upcoming pop up consultations include:
• Merriwa Touch Football, Wednesday 1 March, 5.30pm, at Merriwa Central school Field 1
• Merriwa District Progress Association, Wednesday 22 March, 6pm at the Merriwa RSL
We really want to know what you think and you can easily let us know by filling in the form below and submitting your comments.
To participate in upcoming Upper Hunter Shire Community Strategic Plan 2027 activities, register your name and contact number via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include "CSP 2027 Participation" in your subject line.
