The Upper Hunter Shire Council has prepared a draft Development Servicing Plans for Water Supply and Sewerage (Section 64 Plan). The draft plan details the water supply and/or sewerage developer charges to be levied on development utilising a water utility’s water supply and/or sewerage infrastructure.
The draft Development Servicing Plan (DSP) covers water supply and sewerage developer charges for various Council water and sewer service areas. The draft plan has the following objectives:
• Allow UHSC to require an equitable monetary contribution for the provision of water supply and sewerage services to meet the demands generated by new development and redevelopment
• Facilitate the provision of a water supply and sewerage services which meet the levels of service. Set out the schedule and program of proposed works to meet increasing demands for water supply and sewerage services generated by development and redevelopment
• Detail the contribution rates and UHSC’s payment policies
The draft plan can be viewed at Council’s Offices at 135 Liverpool Street, Scone, 42 Vennacher Street, Merriwa and 47 Mayne Street, Murrurundi during normal business hours. The draft Plan can be downloaded below.
Exhibition period: from 15 March 2017 to 12 April 2017
Written submissions are invited from members of the public, and should be addressed to the General Manager. Submissions should be received by close of business Thursday 13 April 2017.
