The Aberdeen Flood Study was commissioned by Upper Hunter Shire Council in 2005 and was jointly funded by Council and the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage. The results of the flood study will support the preparation of a floodplain risk management study and plan for Aberdeen.
The flood study provides invaluable information on flood patterns and flood heights in Aberdeen and nearby areas and is an important tool used for strategic land use planning and development control.
