Festival of the Fleeces Count Down is ON - 10-12 June

WE WANT EWE!

It wouldn’t be a Festival of the Fleeces without the star attraction - sheep in little red socks – running down Merriwa’s main street leading the grand parade. In order for the parade to run smoothly we need a few more fit and fabulous volunteers to assist with parade marshalling. If you would like to be part of the crew contact the Scone Visitor Information and Horse Centre on 02 6540 1300 or email shancock@upperhunter.nsw.gov.au to register your interest.

IT’S SEW GOOD…

The Hanging of the Quilts is on once more during this year’s Festival of the Fleeces. Get along to the School of Arts on Bow Street, Merriwa between 9.30am to 4.30pm and feast your eyes on a spectacular array of artisan quilts created by local quilters. There’s even a chance to win your own unique quilt, grab a raffle ticket or a bargain from one of the many arts and crafts stalls.  The Hanging of the Quilts is sponsored by Gordon Martin Bulk Hauling and Lenore’s Quilting.

THAT’S THE TICKET!

Get in early to secure your tickets to the Merriwa Tyre & Service Centre ‘Fashions of the Fleeces’ Festival First Night. Great fashion, gorgeous local models, a little poetry, a little wining and dining all to the dulcet tones of the ‘Everyday People’ band – you just don’t want to miss this.  Tickets available from www.trybooking.com (type in Fashions of the Fleece 2016 First Night and 10 June) or collect from the Merriwa Visitor Information Centre. Drinks and dinner available for purchase at the Merriwa RSL (no BYO food or drinks).
