Upper Hunter Shire Council will be launching their new Merriwa Customer Service Office space on Friday 15 April 2016 with the new entrance located around the corner on Vennacher Street.
The new area will allow staff in Merriwa to continue to provide all the existing Council services and for the expansion of services currently provided on behalf of Service NSW which includes Roads and Maritime Service (RMS).
As a result of the office relocation the Merriwa Customer Service Office will be closed from 1.30pm on Thursday 14 April and reopen at the new location at 9.00am on Friday 15 April. No Council or RMS services will be available during this time.
Upper Hunter Shire Council General Manager, Waid Crockett is pleased staff will have a safer and more accessible area to work in.
“Residents would have noticed the renovations going on at the Merriwa Office in recent months and Council would like to thank residents for their patience during this time.”
“Staff are looking forward to coming together in the much improved office area and invite you to come take a look at the new facilities when they launch on Friday 15 April.”
