“I'm bored…!" Go on parents, collectively roll your eyes... and then quickly circumvent that phrase by getting yourself a copy of What’s On, the Upper Hunter Shire Council’s school holiday activities (parent-saver) handbook.
There are plenty of activities to choose from but in many cases places need to be booked in advance – so you’ve been warned – get booking!
Week one includes activities at all UHSC Libraries; drop-in opportunities at each of the Shire’s Youth Centres and the new Colour Fun Run, an initiative of the Upper Hunter Youth Council.
Week two features a Mental Health Workshop with a talk and games with Joe Williams at Scone Basketball Stadium and an excursion to Game On in Muswellbrook, tennis camp, plus there are a few hours of gymnastics over three days and a trip to Tamworth for Ten Pin Bowling at Level Up and the movies. And there’s also a free Family Fun Day at Scone Park.
Are you tired yet? Define bored?
All the details are included in the Upper Hunter Shire Council ‘What’s On’ guide to school holiday activities. ‘What’s On’ is distributed to most school children in the Upper Hunter and is available here.
