CCTV camera work on Upper Hunter Shire Council's sewer pipes is scheduled to take place between Monday 30 January and Friday 10 March 2017 in Aberdeen and Scone to help plan our maintenance, sewer pipe renewal and relining. Works will occur between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm by Council’s contractor Namits.
Alan Fletcher, Council’s Director of Infrastructure Services said this work will assist Council is keeping the sewer mains clear and help protect properties from future sewer system interruptions.
“Work includes the cleaning of sewer mains with designed 'pressure jetting' equipment which is used universally among water authorities.
“This procedure can create an air pocket causing a backflow of water and it can remove water from air traps causing odour to emanate from domestic drainage,” Mr Fletcher said.
On weeks beginning Monday 30 January, Monday 6 February, Monday 27 February, and Monday 6 March, work will occur in parts of:
Aberdeen – McAdam Street, Nandowra Street Gundebri Street, Hall Street, Dart Street, McQueen Street, Abercarney Terrace, Moray Street, Segenhoe Road and Graeme Street.
Scone – Gray Street, Main Street, Kelly Street, Park Street, Gundy Road, Waverley Street, Short Street, Dangar Street, Bingle Street, Scott Street, Stafford Street, Little Street, Carlyle Street, Barton Street and Oxford Road.
Effected properties will be advised by letter.
