Three great outdoor events for children, young people and their families are being hosted by Upper Hunter Shire Council Youth Services as part of National Youth Week, 8 to 17 April 2016, with support from the Department of Family and Community Services.
These are all free or low cost activities, with Council staff supervising and transport available from town centres.
The activity day at Lake Liddell on Friday 15 April is only a gold coin donation, while the Skate and Create in Aberdeen on Wednesday 20 April and Laser Skirmish in Scone on Friday 22 April are free.
Lake Liddell Activity Fun
Day - 10am to 3pm Friday 15 April - THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Experience laser tag, paddle boarding, kayaking, slip n slide, face painting, the jumping castle and climbing the rock wall all for a gold coin donation with drinks available for $1.
Council will provide transport from Murrurundi, Scone and Merriwa. The event is open to all ages but bus travel is restricted to 10 years and older.
Come Skate and Create at Deen City Skate Park, Jefferson Park Aberdeen – 11am to 4pm Wednesday 20 April
An epic free day of interactive skateboarding and art workshops, music skate competition and prizes. Skateboards and helmets will be provided and transport is available from Murrurundi, Scone and Merriwa.
Laser Skirmish at Bill Rose Sporting Complex - 4pm to 9pm Friday 22 April
Come along to the hockey fields at Bill Rose Sporting Complex, Scone or catch the bus from Murrurundi and Merriwa.
The first session from 4pm to 6pm is for ages 11years and under and from 7pm to 9pm is for 12 year olds and up. All children under 10 years MUST be accompanied by parent or care giver. There will be free pizza for dinner and cans of soft drink are available for $1.
