We are working towards outcomes identified in the Upper Hunter 2032 Community Strategic Plan to strengthen the Shire’s status as a connected and thriving place to live.
The
Delivery Program is Council’s commitment to delivering the activities included
in the CSP. Each financial year, an Operational Plan and budget sets out the
individual projects and actions to be undertaken in a year and includes
financial estimates, performance indicators, details of capital works and the
schedule of fees and charges.
Council’s
Operating Plan for 2022-23 has an operating revenue of $70 million and a
capital works budget of $50 million. The draft Operational Plan reflects the
Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal’s (IPART) decision of a general
rate rise of 0.7 per cent.
Council had anticipated a rate peg level of 2 per cent based on last year’s level and this low rate peg will leave a $162,000 deficit in the budget.
