2025 Australia Day - Cassilis and Merriwa Districts

Australia Day Celebrations – Upper Hunter Shire, 26 January 2025

Celebrate Australia Day with a range of activities across the Upper Hunter Shire! This year, events will be held in Aberdeen for the Scone, Aberdeen, and Murrurundi districts, while the Merriwa and Cassilis districts will gather in Cassilis.

• Time: Awards Ceremony starts at 10:30 am, followed by a BBQ.

Pool Parties and BBQs

Enjoy an afternoon of fun with pool parties and BBQs across the Upper Hunter:

• Merriwa Pool: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
• Scone Pool: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
• Murrurundi Pool: 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Expect inflatables, entertainment, and activities for the whole family.
