Youth Week 2025: We are the future and the future is now

Youth Week is back and bigger than ever in Scone. Upper Hunter Shire Council has packed this year’s event with activities, food and live entertainment to celebrate the contribution and potential of young people across our community.

This year’s theme, We are the future and the future is now, will be brought to life through an exciting range of activities designed for young people aged 12–24. The event will feature the highly anticipated Colour Run, originally postponed, along with plenty of new additions to keep the energy high.

Activities on the day include:
• Colour Run
• Mechanical Bull
• Gladiator Joust
• Basketball Shootout
• Jumping Castle
• Bungee Run
• Live broadcast by Power FM
• Free BBQ, sausage and drink for all registered participants

The event is free to attend and made possible through grant funding from the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and dollar-for-dollar contributions from Upper Hunter Shire Council.

Pre-registration is encouraged. While registrations will be available on the day, pre-registering online helps organisers plan the event, minimise wait times and ensure everyone can get involved as quickly as possible.
