Council Launches Scone Mountain Bike Trail Project Council is happy to announce the completion of the Scone Mountain National Park Mountain Bike Trail, opened on 29 July. Funded by the NSW Government’s Places to Play grant, the trail offers routes for all skill levels and was developed with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and Synergy Trails.

Hannah Gillett, Upper Hunter Shire’s Young Citizen of the Year 2025 Hannah’s journey leading up to the Australia Day Awards was shaped by the opportunities that came from attending the Adelaide Leadership Summit last year. She describes this experience as a turning point, opening doors for her as a young leader and paving the way for further growth. Inspired by this, she was involved in organising a local Leadership Summit at St Joseph’s Aberdeen.
