Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking community feedback on its draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan (Budget), and we want to hear from YOU! This is your opportunity to help shape the future agenda of the council and ensure that it reflects the needs and aspirations of the community.

The Delivery Program and Operational Plan (DPOP) is a strategic plan that outlines the council's priorities, objectives, and actions over a four-year term, as well as the specific actions, targets, timelines, and budgets for each priority area over a one-year period. It provides a clear direction for the council's activities and ensures that it remains accountable and responsive to the needs of the community.

We understand that community consultation can sometimes be poorly adopted, but your participation is essential to help us make decisions that reflect the needs and aspirations of the community. We encourage everyone to attend the community consultation sessions and have their say on the direction of the council.

At the consultation sessions, council representatives will walk attendees through the plan and provide an opportunity to discuss and provide feedback. The draft document will be available for review on Friday, 28 of April following its adoption at April's Council meeting.

Here are the dates, times and locations for the community consultation sessions:

  • Monday, 8 May 2023, 6 - 7.30pm, Aberdeen Community Hall
