Notice: Proposed Acquisition of Easement

Council is proposing to acquire an easement on the property located at 1 Hall Road, Merriwa NSW 2329 (Lot 1 DP782234) for the purpose of an underground effluent discharge pipe. This acquisition is necessary to comply with the directive from the NSW Environment Protection Authority to connect the Merriwa Sewage Treatment Plant effluent ponds to the Merriwa River.

Notice Details
In accordance with the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991, Council has issued a Proposed Acquisition Notice (PAN) to the landowner on 9 December 2024. The acquisition process will proceed within the timeframes specified under the Act unless a mutual agreement is reached beforehand.
