Ungooroo promotes culture through a significant range events, accredited and non-accredited training and education through partnerships as well as mentoring services. Field site officers provide culture and heritage services by engaging with mining companies and archaeologists and consulting on the significance of artefacts and identified Aboriginal sites. Ungooroo connects Indigenous people with advocacy groups, relevant health services, employment opportunities, business mentoring and other services across the Hunter.
The Special Homeless Services Program is available for youth aged between 12 and 25 years who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and are homeless (or at risk of homelessness).
The accredited medical centre provides GP services, access to specialists, and complementary health services, and a mums and bus outreach clinic. Services include linking local Aboriginal people to Aboriginal sexual health workers and mental health practitioners and provision of a broader range of health services which extend to dietetics, hearing and audiology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, optometry and physiotherapy.
