It is likely that drones (or remotely piloted aircraft) will become a common feature in our skies as the technology advances and its usage rapidly increases. Trials have already been done on delivering groceries, mail and other goods by drone. They are also changing the way we work especially for activities such as property inspections and surveying. Using drones won’t just be a fun hobby, drones will become a way of life.
Safety in the skies is our top priority. To keep people, property and the environment around us safe, it's essential that drone users know the rules officially known as the 'standard operating conditions' and the local conditions that apply to them.
Upper Hunter Shire Council is warning users of drones and other remote-controlled aircraft that there are many areas in the Shire where drone use is restricted or not permitted. Please read Where can I fly? below.
Please visit the CASA website for the full details in regards to any drone use
