Youth, individual and family support services are available at Upper Hunter Shire youth centres at Merriwa, Murrurundi and Scone.
Council’s Young Endeavour Scheme gives young people from a rural area the unique experience of an ocean voyage on a tall ship. It challenges and inspires participants, building their confidence, determination and leadership skills. This annual voyage is held over a period of 11 days.
Merriwa Youth Centre has its own dedicated premises located in Bow Street.
The Upper Hunter Youth Council is made up of
students from Primary and High Schools from across the Upper Hunter.
