Scone Museum and Research Centre is housed in the old lock-up and residence (c.1870) and the Research Centre is located next door in the old Sergeant's Residence.
The Museum creates special exhibitions for Australia Day and the Scone Horse Festival as well as having items relating to the Scone district continually on display. The Research Centre has published a number of books relevant to Scone and district as well as assisting people with their local research whether it be information on the local area or compiling their family history.
