The NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014 (the Act) sets out legislation that aims to make communities more inclusive for people with disability.
The Draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) outlines Council's commitment to improving opportunities for people of all ages with any disability to participate fully in community life.
There are four key focus areas of the DIAP:
• Developing positive community attitudes and behaviours
• Creating liveable communities
• Supporting access to meaningful employment
• Improving access to mainstream services through better systems and processes.
